A veteran educationist with long years of experience in school administration Ms. Shilpa Bhatnagar is the Principal of Bhatnagar International School, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi. The school represents her holistic, progressive approach to education and her constant endeavour is to provide various educational opportunities to all.

She has been conferred with the most prestigious award - "Exceptional Women of Excellence" April 2018, instituted by Women Economic Forum (WEF), a part of the All Ladies League, the world's largest league and international chamber of women leading an inclusive vision. Ms. Shilpa Bhatnagar has also been duly honoured with the 'Outstanding Leadership Principal of the year' award 2019 by Indian School Awards. The certificate of achievement is in recognition of her valuable contribution to Education society and as a dynamic supporter of the youth.

Recently she has been conferred with 'Education Icon Award' 2019 instituted by The Times Group on November 27, 2019. Also a winner of British Council International School Award 2016-19, 2019-2022 and National Resource Optimization Award for her immense contribution in areas of primary and secondary school education. Her prime endeavour is pursuit of excellence and she joyfully strives for the same in all that she does.

She has been awarded Global Human Rights Protection Award 2012, 2015, 2017 and 2019 by the Indian Institute of Human Rights at the World Human Rights Congress; the Child Care and Development Award and National Human Resources Optimisation Award at the 33rd World Management Congress 2012. Her contribution in enhancing Life skills was appreciated by Expressions India under the National Life Skills Education and school wellness programme by awarding her Life Empowerment Award 2018-19 on February 21, 2019 at the National Science Centre Pragati Maidan.

She has been accredited by the International Association of Education (affiliated to United Nations-ECOSOC, DPI, UNESCO, and UNICEF), National Academy of Educational Planning & Administration with the World School Excellence Award 2017 and World Best Managed School Award 2017.

She has been appreciated for her persistent endeavours to promote Indian culture. On the eve of International Youth day celebration she was awarded with the Art & Culture Promotion Award by the Art & Culture Development agency of India; Spiritual and Value Education Award by the Confederation of Indian Universities and Ayush Friendly School of the Year Award at the Yoga Naturopathic Summit.

Ms. Bhatnagar's perpetual aim is to groom a perfect generation and to fully develop their innate potential in the present competitive world. The school has been a proud winner of Guinness World Record 2017 for the Largest Human Image of an Organ.

As a successful premiere and inspiring leader, she displays a committed resolve to serve the community at large and has become instrumental in its betterment and upliftment Ms. Shilpa has taken up cudgels to promote the literacy drive in the South East Zone of Delhi and has emerged a winner of Sufia Ajmali Trophy for the seventh consecutive year since 2012, conferred by Delhi School's Literacy Project for making maximum number of learners in the impoverished neighbouring slums adopted by the school since its inception. She has also been conferred with the National Population Education Award 2017 by the International Association of Educators for World Peace.

Her commitment to environment upkeep has made her the winner of the 'Plastic Free School of the Year' award at the world Environment convention 2018 organised by National Institution of Cleanliness Education and Research and Eco-Friendly School of the Year Award. A perfectionist to the core, her zeal for cleanliness and rudiments of hygiene has brought the school the coveted recognition as the Best Hygienic School of The Year Award and Clean School of The Year by National Institution of Cleanliness Education and Research, a division of Afro Asian America, Chamber of Commerce for three consecutive years.She has been honoured for her outstanding contribution to Swachh Bharat Mission on 2nd May, 2018 by Ministry of Urban Development Govt. of India.

It has been truly rewarding and motivating for the school to be awarded with the Principal Teachers Excellence Award and the National Teaching Excellence Award by the Confederation of Indian Universities under her able leadership and guidance. The Silver Zone Foundation has felicitated her with Performance Excellence Award 2016-17 for playing a key role in enhancing the academic level of the students.
