History Of The School


Since its inception in 1990, Bhatnagar International School, prepares children of all ages for acquiring global competencies in varied fields through a well-designed networking of curriculum & programmes.

The school has state-of-the-art computer complex equipped with latest technologies. Computer literacy is introduced from class I onwards. A well-equipped computerized library, with the most advanced systems of learning and a number of books, documents, audio-visual materials, microforms and periodicals, is a treat to visit. Extensive laboratory facilities for teaching and student faculty research in physics, chemistry and biology are also available. All classrooms are air-conditioned and equipped with smart boards to create a congenial environment for learning.

In its constant endeavour to provide all inclusive education, the school has included new and diversified streams as to prepare the students for a variety of career options. The introduction of bio-technology, fashion studies and psychology as an elective subject at the senior level is a part of this tradition. Well equipped laboratory for bio-technology and fashion studies have been set up with the latest infrastructure to provide practical training to the students.

The school has introduced and incorporated Foundation Education in Technology in its curriculum. This is an initiative for creating technical awareness and nurturing future engineers and technical designers. A nation aspiring developed status must have a sound technology culture which the school fully realizes and thereby support!

As a part of imbibing global awareness, students delegation from the school are sent every year to other countries for cross cultural exchanges under Children’s International Summer Villages and International School to School Exchange programmes. The aim is to promote world peace and cultural harmony. The students are trained to be sent as Ambassadors of Peace and Amity.

The school promotes learning of multi linguistic skills. In the academic session 2015-2016, 10 German students participated in the BOSCH Project sponsored by the BOSCH Foundation together with our partner school in Germany, Maximilian Kolbe Gymnasium, Cologne.

The highly prestigious International School Award has been conferred on our school for the years 2016-19 by the British Council. Wiesbaden High School of Germany and Winfield Scott School No. 2 of USA were the collaborative schools for the intercontinental exchange programme and projects during the course of this winsome journey.

The importance of co-curricular activities has been recognised the world over. By providing a stimulating milieu in the school, the students are encouraged to participate in & organise exhibitions, seminars and symposia, quiz contests and literary competitions.

Driven by its mission of all round child development, the institution is constantly striving to build team spirit and a sense of fair play in students. Knowing the significance of physical education and sports, the school nurtures sporting talent. The children are motivated to participate in constructive and competitive sports right from infancy. Skating, Shooting, Gymnastics, Basket-Ball, Cricket, Swimming, Table-Tennis, Horse riding, Lawn Tennis, Martial Arts, Boxing, have always been a part of school curriculum. Students from the age group of two onwards are provided umpteen opportunities to showcase and hone their skills. The school has won accolades in shooting at zonal and national levels.

The glittering feather in the cap is the student’s selection in the Indian Table Tennis Team representing India on an international platform in the year 2017.

Students have excelled in shooting and have won wide recognition for their stupendous performance at National Level. Swimming is another arena where the meritorious performance of the students has brought acclaim and accolades for the institution.

The school’s Equestrian Club has been proudly hosting its Horse Show programmes annually in the school. Young riders are taught riding skills at various levels on thoroughbred horses and are prepared to specialize in steeple chase and tent pegging.

A well-equipped gymnasium and a shooting range is a new extension in sports facilities to enhance physical fitness.

Lawn tennis hardcourt of concrete topped with acrylic is patented in the school ground. Best quality lawn tennis equipment is made available to the practising students under sharp vigilance of coaches and trainers.
