International Yoga Day
“Yoga is Like Music. The Rhythm of the Body, The Melody of the Mind, and Harmony of the Soul Create the Symphony of Life”
Yoga is a way of living that aims towards a healthy mind and body. Yoga helps in developing a balance between all the three states – Karma (action), Bhakti (devotion) and Jnana (knowledge).
While living a modern life, your brain is constantly engaged in endless thoughts and never rests in tranquillity. As a result, you lack focus, skill and vitality. The yoga calms the brain and enhances its vital functioning.
June 21, is marked as the annual International Day for Yoga to celebrate the ancient Indian art of healthy living. Translation into “unity” from Sanskrit, Yoga tends to unite the mind and the body to bring harmony.
On this International Yoga Day, the teachers took the initiative of teaching the students about the value and importance of Yoga in our daily lives. The students performed various Yoga asanas like Sukhasana, Balasana, Setubandasana, etc. It was a delight to see them perform all the asanas with utmost zeal and enthusiasm.
Students also performed yoga asana with their family members and highlighted importance of yoga in their daily life by sending their pictures and videos.
